I'm doing what I'm doing."
Como "This office, I think, reminds you of what's at stake, how many hopes and dreams are placed in what goes on here at the White House," e agora está revestido da parafrenália que o inspira, espera-se que 2010 veja o arranque das esperanças levantadas com o "Yes, we can".

2010 Ferrari 458 Italia

This Web clip is from the Frankfurt auto show where the Ferrari 458 Italia made a big splash. The sports car packs a good punch with its 4.5-liter engine that kicks up to 563 horsepower. The Ferrari also breaks ground with its seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and can break the 200 mph mark. If you are as interested in this car's interior, be sure to scope the details at the 1:15 mark. I hope you don't get sticker shock easily, as this Italian Stallion is going to cost you at least $200K.

In the first phase of this web clip, Chris does a great job of explaining the many impressive specs and features of the 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia. And then off we go! Chris also breaks down the handling, acceleration and other driving-oriented features of the 458. Along the way enjoy both exterior, interior and driver side views of what it's like to blaze the asphalt in this fine automobile. Toward the end you can almost feel the jerky, breakneck speeding sensation that any good Ferrari is all about. Lots of screeching wheels and burned rubber - and to any Ferrari fan, that's music to our ears.

Fundamentalismos

John Hogue: In my new almanac of prophecies for the coming year Predictions for 2010, I cover future events starting from 2 November 2009 to the end of 2010. My oracle pinpointed Yemen as the next hot bed base for al-Qaeda operations:
“Al-Qaeda has had bases in Somalia for years. Yemen is also a hot bed of Usama bin Laden jihadists. Indeed, it may soon collapse into his grasp in 2010, giving him a new home if and when the Pakistani Army successfully occupies Waziristan.”

Revelation 13: Astrology, prophecies of the future for 2010 to 2015, Nostradamus, the Book of Revelation and Bible prophecy, the King James version English Bible code, New Age geography: The CERN LHC particle accelerator was turned on again in 2009, and there is a concern that it could create a Black Hole or Strangelet that goes to the center of the earth and would result in increased earthquakes and volcanoes as it eats the earth, eventually turning earth into a Black Hole over 4 years or so, this could cause the prophesied 2012 destruction of earth.

Baba Vanga: According to the Russian newspaper Pravda Vanga has predicted that a World War III will start in 2010.

Igor Panarin: Panarin forecast the probable disintegration of the USA into six parts in 2010 (at the end of June – start of July 2010, as he specified on 10 December 2008),following a civil war triggered by mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation. He forecast financial and demographic changes provoking a political crisis in which wealthier states will withhold funds from the federal government, effectively seceding from the Union, leading to social unrest, civil war, national division, and intervention of foreign powers.Panarin sees the task of the world elite as not letting the USA follow the Yugoslavian model of disintegration; it is desirable that it follows the Czechoslovakian model of disintegration so that everything goes calmly and peacefully.

Sylvia Browne: I predict a great rise in skin cancer in children until 2010. There is a lot of media coverage about the UV rays and many products to protect people against them. But people are still often careless when it comes to the sun. Then again, people could pay attention - and reverse this prediction right out from under me. I would certainly be all for that!
I predict the President elected sometime between 2008 and 2020 will die in office from a heart attack. The Vice President who will finish their term will have an unpopular and mistaken intention to declare war on North Korea. By that time, North Korea will have weapons of mass destruction. In the middle of efforts to declare war, I predict the Vice President will be assassinated.
There will be a worldwide investigation into the Vice President's death with both pleasant and unpleasant surprises. A lot of attention will be paid to one of the investigative congressional committees and serious accusations will be made regarding missing funds. Finally, it will be revealed that their accusations are part of a conspiracy to damage the American people's faith in their government, with the media manipulated to "fan the flames," and the committee will be vindicated in the end.
I predict we can truly say "goodbye" to the common cold in 2009 or 2010. The solution to the common cold involves heat. Keep in mind that the body's first response when we develop a cold is to come down with a fever. Many doctors today no longer rush to push patients to take temperature reducing medications when they come down with a fever, unless the fever is dangerous. They feel the immune system is the patient's best medicine and should be given a chance to fight back. So as the immune system fights a cold with heat, the cure for the common cold certainly may lie in this first signal to heal.

Farmers Almanac: According to the 2010 Farmers’ Almanac, this winter will see more days of shivery conditions: a winter during which temperatures will average below normal for about three-quarters of the nation.

No Rise of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide Fraction in Past 160 Years, New Research Finds

ScienceDaily (Dec. 31, 2009) — Most of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity does not remain in the atmosphere, but is instead absorbed by the oceans and terrestrial ecosystems. In fact, only about 45 percent of emitted carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere.
However, some studies have suggested that the ability of oceans and plants to absorb carbon dioxide recently may have begun to decline and that the airborne fraction of anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions is therefore beginning to increase.
Many climate models also assume that the airborne fraction will increase. Because understanding of the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide is important for predicting future climate change, it is essential to have accurate knowledge of whether that fraction is changing or will change as emissions increase.
To assess whether the airborne fraction is indeed increasing, Wolfgang Knorr of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol reanalyzed available atmospheric carbon dioxide and emissions data since 1850 and considers the uncertainties in the data.
In contradiction to some recent studies, he finds that the airborne fraction of carbon dioxide has not increased either during the past 150 years or during the most recent five decades.
The research is published in Geophysical Research Letters.
